Die BG4-Serie stellt eine Reihe von kompakten Single-Package-NVMe™-SSDs mit Kapazitäten von bis zu 1.024GB dar. Diese bieten eine PCIe® Gen3 x4-Schnittstelle und setzen auf den 96-Layer-TLC-BiCS FLASH™-Speicher von KIOXIA. Dank höherer Bandbreite und verbesserter Flashverwaltung sowie „Host Memory Buffer“-Technologie (HMB) bieten die BG4-Single-Package-SSDs die beste Leseleistung ihrer Klasse: Sie erzielen bis zu 2.300MB/s (sequenzielles Lesen) und bis zu 390.000IOPS (zufälliges Lesen) bei einer aktiven Leistungsaufnahme von bis zu 3,7W (typ.).

Die BG4-Serie ist in vier Kapazitäten (128/256/512/1.024GB) und als oberflächenmontierbares M.2-1620-Single-Package oder austauschbares M.2- 2230-Modul erhältlich, wodurch sie sich für dünne und leichte Systemdesigns (z. B. ultradünne PCs) sowie für Embedded-Geräte und Serverbootanwendungen in Rechenzentren gleichermaßen eignet.
Die SSDs der BG4-Serie sind optional als SED-Modelle (Self-Encrypting Drive) mit Unterstützung für TCG Opal Version 2.01 erhältlich.
