XG6 serisi KIOXIA en güncel, 96 katmanlı, 3D TLC (hücre başına 3 bit) flash bellek kullanır. 4. nesil BiCS FLASH™ ve SLC önbellek özellikleri ile XG6 SSD'ler sırasıyla 3180 MB/sn ve 2960 MB/sn ardışık okuma/yazma hızlarına ulaşır ve 355.000 rastgele okuma ve 365.000 rastgele yazma IOPS sunar. XG6, yüksek performansa ek olarak, XG ailesinin düşük güçlü tasarımını da sürdürerek aktif modda 4,7 W veya daha az ve bekleme modunda 3 mW'dan daha az tüketir.
Yeni XG6 serisi, güce duyarlı mobil PC'ler, performans odaklı oyun PC'lerinin yanı sıra sunucu önyüklemesi, önbellekleme ve günlük kaydı için veri merkezi ortamları için optimize edilmiştir.
Kompakt M.2 2280 tek taraflı form faktörü bulunan XG6 serisi, TCG Opal Sürüm 2.01'i destekleyen Kendi Kendine Şifrelenen Sürücü (SED) modeli seçeneğiyle 256 GB, 512 GB ve 1024 GB'lık üç kapasiteli üç modele sahiptir.
